LCD monitor specialist BenQ is following up on its launch earlier this year of the world’s first narrow-bezel flicker-free LCD monitor that was so enthusiastically received by the market. Pushing the envelope in eye-protective features, BenQ is introducing the world’s only low blue-light LCD monitors—the EW series. These monitors incorporate four low blue-light modes, effectively blocking 30 to 70% of potentially damaging blue light.

At the same time, BenQ is working with experts from various fields to cater to particular markets, introducing professional models that are designed for specific types of users. Examples include our collaboration with international color calibration software leader X-RITE to develop the high-end full color gamut PG2401PT monitor for prepress and video editing professionals. This monitor has achieved dual certifications from color standards bodies in the US and Europe, and provides users with more convenient color management. Another example of BenQ’s new initiative to serve the pro market is the first drafting-oriented monitor customized specifically for CAD/CAM applications—the BL2710PT. Its ultra-high 2560x1440 resolution and exclusive CAD/CAM modes enable it to render precision 3D contours in high contrast, satisfying the demanding requirements of users in such fields as animation design, architectural design, automobile design, product design, and mechanical engineering.
