In October, BenQ Australia participated in 3 gaming events. Over 23,000 attendees were attracted to physical events and 5,000 viewers were reached via Live Streaming.
EB Games Expo – October 4th to 6th in Sydney
EB Games Expo is Australia’s second largest gaming culture exhibition. The event is open for 4 days – 2 days for EB Games Employees and VIP’s and 2 days for the public. Featured exhibitors include games developers, publishers and peripheral companies. 20,000 public attendees visited over two days. BenQ Australia provided 36 x XL2420T monitors for Riot Games League of Legends public play stand.
Shadowloo Showdown – October 11st to 13rd in Melbourne
The Showdown is Shadowlogic’s annual main event; it is recognized as a major international console tournament, drawing competitors from USA, Brazil, China and Japan among others. Shadowlogic offers thousands of dollars in prizes for King of Fighters, Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom and Tekken. The event attracts over 2,000 people in live attendance and over 5,000 via live stream. BenQ Australia provided 26 x RL2450H monitors for tournament play.
ACL Pro Sydney - October 19th to 20th in Sydney
ACL Sydney was the final Cyber League event for the year, combining player communities from Call of Duty, League of Legends and Starcraft 2 with prize pools over $6,000. Over 1,000 gamers attended over 2 days to watch the top Australian teams fighting for the 2013 national title. BenQ Australia provided 36 x XL2420T monitors for all games at the event. BenQ Australia sponsored team, Team Immunity, won both the League of Legends and Call of Duty events.
