BenQ Materials is following up on its success in the Taiwan market by introducing the world’s first colored iris-enlarging silicone hydrogel contact lenses

BenQ Materials is combining its twin strengths in optics and materials technology to develop highly oxygen-permeable contact lenses. BenQ Materials’ one-day disposable lenses are made of silicone hydrogel, and won a Taiwan Excellence award. Now, drawing on its technology advantages, BenQ Materials is launching the world’s first colored iris-enlarging silicone hydrogel contact lenses. BenQ Materials’ proprietary silicone technology enables these lenses to achieve oxygen permeability rated at DK/t 150, six times higher than regular iris-enlarging lenses. At the same time, BenQ Materials’ lenses make use of the world’s first solvent-free formula production process for contact lenses, so that consumers will not experience irritation or discomfort when wearing them. Using exclusive colorization technology, Miacare’s colored silicone hydrogel lenses are precision-manufactured so that colored substrate is enclosed within the lens, so that the eyes are never in contact and there is no concern about color leakage.
