To accommodate consumer desire for an easy-to-use and easy-to-carry camera, BenQ is introducing new models in its high-zoom camera series. The new cameras were developed after taking note of rising levels of disposable income as the societal trend toward families having fewer children takes hold, as well as parents’ desire to preserve a record of all the precious moments in their child’s young life. The GH800 is tailored for such consumers, positioned as a “full-featured family travel” camera, with ultra-powerful 36x zoom and 22.5mm-equivalent wide-angle lens. With this single camera, parents can capture their children in terrific close-ups, zoom shots, and wide-angle photos. Another new model, the LH500 high-zoom pocket camera offers 24x optical zoom, 25mm-equivalent wide-angle lens, and a pocketable form factor.
