The first EL Qualifier for Asia Pacific has come to an end from
7/09 ~ 7/10 held at Hanoi Cyzone Gaming Café. A total of 16 teams competed in
the offline tournament through these 2 days. The finals was between teams Hanoi
Vortex and Rebellion. These two teams often bumped heads during online matches,
usually with Hanoi Vortex taking the win, however during the offline, playing a
best of 3 rounds, Rebellion took first place for the tournament beating Hanoi
Vortex 2-0 and won themselves USD$225 and a secured spot to the grand finals in
Shanghai, which will be held in September.
FPTtv streamed the semi & finals through cable channel and
online, reaching 4.5K+ views. Participants and media were able to experience
full ZOWIE lineup at the ZOWIE experience zone through the 2 day offline
tournament.
