祝賀蘇州院區榮獲市急救中心急救分站2015年上半年度醫療品質檢查第一名
7月中旬，蘇州市急救中心對各急救分站進行醫療品質的安檢。蘇州院區急救分站榮獲全市第一名，在此表示祝賀，感謝急診科同仁的努力，也希望急診科醫護人員再接再厲，攜手合作，屢創佳績。
蘇州院區大量傷患救護桌上型演練圓滿結束
2015年蘇州院區急診大量傷患救護桌上型演練於8月11日中午圓滿結束。在演練中對大量傷患緊急救護情景進行類比，透過複雜情況類比演練流程，建立各單位對於大量傷患處理的團隊默契。
蘇州院區關愛老人健康——骨密度&白內障篩查
8月10日，蘇州明基醫院開展骨密度公益篩查。近60位市民參加，篩查人群中近30%的市民患有不同等程度的骨質疏鬆症。除此之外，本次還免費為康復科的病患們進行免費的篩查，也為市民們提供免費的眼科白內障篩查。
蘇州院區急救知識普及講座走進華碩科技
8月6日，蘇州明基醫院走進華碩科技，開展有關急救科普知識的講座。當你身邊的人突然間昏倒在你的旁邊，你該怎麼做呢？答案是心肺復甦！王醫師為現場的員工朋友們仔細講解心肺復甦的每一個步驟，並當場讓員工朋友們學以致用，現場進行演練。
蘇州院區中醫講座走進集團
8月中旬，蘇州明基醫院走進佳世達、達方集團，中醫科潘俞成醫師、鐘秉成醫師為集團員工們開展秋季中醫養生專題講座。潘醫師從專業的中醫學角度向員工朋友們講解秋季該如何養生。
蘇州院區“小小醫生體驗營”圓滿舉行
自“小小醫生體驗營”活動開展以來，吸引很多市民的關注，8月29、30日近80組來自蘇州各地的市民們紛紛報名參加“小小醫生體驗營”的活動。除此之外，來自蘇州公益組織“大手牽小手”、華碩電子近80組家庭也分別組織前來參加明基醫院“小小醫生體驗營”活動。

蘇州院區金色家園社區老年人白內障篩查
8月11日，金色家園社區的5位爺爺奶奶們來到蘇州明基醫院進行詳細的眼睛檢查。明基健康行動為金色家園社區的老年人們開通免費的眼睛白內障的篩查，也為社區老年人們的健康又增添了一分保障。在志工們的幫助下，爺爺奶奶們順利的檢查結束，並紛紛表達了對醫護人員及志工們的感謝。
蘇州院區眼科走進東渚衛生服務中心開展義診
為了普及愛眼護眼知識、提高居民眼健康方面的意識，8月18日，明基醫院眼科走進東渚衛生服務中心開展義診。周圍近30位居民來到現場參加義診活動，其中主要以老人和小孩為多。不僅提高了居民愛眼意識，也增強了居民們對眼睛常見病的認識，為推動社區居民健康事業做出了積極的貢獻！

8月25日，明基友達公益基金會攜手蘇州明基醫院走進金色家園，為社區居民開展了一場大型義診活動。本次義診不僅關注居民的身體健康，同時也為居民提供心理諮詢。

為了提高社區居民合理用藥的水準，8月26日，明基友達公益基金會攜手明基醫院走進金色家園社區，為社區老年人開展了“用藥安全”知識講座。金色家園社區的居民們紛紛表示本次講座很實用，蔡主任在用藥方面給了他們很多建議，讓他們對以後藥品的選擇及使用有了深刻的認識。

8月30 日，孕媽咪講座在國際會議廳圓滿舉行。以“孕事知多少及產前檢查”為主題，與近50名準媽媽分享懷孕需要注意的一些事項。準媽媽們都認為陳主任的講座讓她們受益匪淺，解決了很多自己懷孕後存在的問題，紛紛表示明基醫院以患者為中心的醫療服務特色也讓她們印象深刻！

Medical Service conducted an evaluation of medical services quality at various emergency
care units. Suzhou BenQ Medical Center’s emergency care unit received first
place for the entire city. Here we express our congratulations and gratitude to
our colleagues in the emergency care unit for their efforts, as well as our
hope that the staff in the emergency care unit will persist in their efforts to
work together and continue their record of excellence.

successfully concludes drill for handling mass casualty event
Suzhou BenQ Medical Center’s
2015 drill for handling mass casualty events was held successfully on August
11. During the drill, the situation of handling mass casualties was simulated.
By following the workflow specified by the simulated scenario, the ability to
coordinate among the various departments could be evaluated and enhanced.

demonstrates care for seniors’ health with bone density and cataract screenings
On August 10, Suzhou BenQ
Medical Center held free bone density screenings. Nearly 60 citizens took
advantage, with close to 30% proving to suffer from varying degrees of
osteoporosis. In addition, we also offered patients in the rehabilitation
medicine department free screening, and provided free cataract tests for Suzhou
citizens.

On August 6, Suzhou BenQ
Medical Center offered our workshop on first aid basics at Asus. Attendees
learned what to do in case someone around them suddenly faints. The answer is
CPR! Dr Wang gave everyone a detailed explanation of each step in giving CPR
correctly, and then had everyone get some hands-on practice with what they had
just learned immediately afterwards.

In mid-August, Suzhou BenQ
Medical Center traditional Chinese medicine department physicians Pan Yu-cheng
and Zhong Bing-cheng gave talks about traditional Chinese medicine’s autumn
remedies at Qisda and Darfon. Dr Pan spoke to employees about how to enhance their
health using principles from traditional Chinese medicine.

Suzhou BenQ Medical Center’s
medical camp for children has attracted the attention of many Suzhou citizens
ever since it was established. This year, on August 29 and 30, nearly 80 groups
of citizens from various parts of Suzhou registered for the camp. In addition,
nearly 80 families associated with a local charity group and from Asus also
participated.

On August 11, five seniors from
the Golden Home Community came to Suzhou BenQ Medical Center to receive eye
examinations. BenQ’s health program provided free cataract screenings, giving
them one more measure to protect their health. With the assistance of
volunteers, the elderly gentlemen and ladies successfully completed the
screenings, afterwards expressing their gratitude to the medical staff and
volunteers.

health center
In order to raise awareness of
eye health and proper care of the eyes, on August 18 Suzhou BenQ Medical Center’s
ophthalmology department visited the Dongzhu public health center to offer free
examinations. Nearly 30 residents, most of them seniors and children, arrived
at the center and received a check-up. The event not only raised eye care
awareness among residents, but also increased their understanding of common eye
ailments. The event made a positive contribution to improving the health of the
residents.

Foundation joined forces with Suzhou BenQ Medical Center’s to hold a

In order to improve habits
regarding the taking of medicines in appropriate circumstances, on August 26
the BenQ Foundation joined forces with Suzhou BenQ Medical Center to give a
lecture on using medicines safely at local retirement community Golden Home
Community. Residents praised the practical utility of the lecture, during which
Director Tsai provided numerous suggestions on using medicines, giving
attendees an in-depth understanding of how to choose and safely take medicines.

seniors in the seventh floor patient ward.

holds August class for expectant mothers
On August 30, a workshop for
expectant mothers took place in the International Meeting Hall. With a focus on
pregnancy facts and prenatal examinations, the workshop shared information
about things to be aware of during pregnancy with the nearly 50 mothers-to-be
in attendance. They agreed that Director Chen’s lecture was very helpful to
them, resolving many of the issues they had encountered after becoming
pregnant. They expressed how impressed they were by the patient-first approach
to providing health services that BenQ Medical Center exemplifies.
Lecture on first-aid basics
presented at local kindergarten
On August 26, Suzhou BenQ
Medical Center visited Suzhou Regent International Preschool to offer a
workshop on first-aid basics. Doctor Chen used a medical professional’s
perspective to instruct teachers on how to prevent some accidents that are
prone to happen at kindergartens in particular, and the first aid to provide
when accidents do occur.
