江蘇省護理學會第23期三級醫院護理長培訓班於6月2日至6月5日來到南京院區見習，學員均為省內三級醫院的護理長，兩梯次共計49人。現場學習氣氛異常熱烈。課後大家還著重圍繞護理品質管制及品質持續改善進行討論交流，護理長們在學習的同時，也對我院個別方面給予有效的意見和建議，雙方受益匪淺。

明基醫院蘇州院區開展臨床免疫內分泌研討會
5月30日，蘇州院區內分泌科特邀省內外知名內分泌專家，對內分泌常見疾病從臨床、免疫學等角度進行探討，以提高臨床相關疾病的診治水準。眾所周知，免疫損傷和免疫應答在內分泌疾病的發生發展中有重要價值，對於疾病的診斷、治療極為重要。
通過此次學術會議中的學術交流、專題報告以及臨床問題的討論，讓各位參會者在臨床和科研工作有很大的啟發。
明基醫院蘇州院區老年科走進大龍港社區義診
5月22日，蘇州院區老年科在大龍港社區開展義診，老年科梁文醫師為前來諮詢的社區朋友們逐一解答困擾他們許久的問題。本次義診共服務三十多名社區居民以老年人為主。在老年群體中主要存在高血壓、骨質疏鬆等問題，本次義診，通過血壓測量，大部分老年朋友有罹患高血壓的風險，梁文醫師提醒他們平時注意飲食，多做一些輕緩的運動。
明基醫院蘇州院區骨科走進木瀆南亭社區開展健康講座
5月19日，蘇州院區走進木瀆南亭社區，骨科霍雷醫師為社區的老年朋友們開展了一場關於“退化性關節炎與骨質疏鬆症”的健康講座，備受大家的歡迎。而在老年朋友中退化性關節炎與骨質疏鬆症也是比較常見的疾病，也使他們十分困擾。據本次參加講座的50多名老年朋友反應，絕大部分因為年齡的原因患有骨質疏鬆症，在就醫的情況下也一直處於時好時壞的情況，通過本次的健康講座對關節炎與骨質疏鬆有了更深層次的瞭解。講座結束後老年朋友們紛紛就自己的相關情況諮詢于霍醫師，霍醫師提醒他們健康飲食、適量運動尤為重要，但偶爾還是要補充鈣片維生素之類的。
明基醫院蘇州脊髓損傷患者“中途之家”2015年度第一次活動圓滿結束
5月14日至18日，全國助殘日來臨之際，由明基友達公益基金會與蘇州市殘聯、蘇州市肢殘人協會共同組織的蘇州脊髓損傷患者“中途之家”專案成員們在蘇州院區參加2015年度的第一次康復訓練活動。
在本次的康復訓練營中，“中途之家”成員們的進步是為明基友達公益基金會志願者們所共睹的，志願者們用自己的真誠、耐心、愛心感化他們，贏得了他們的信任，幫助他們改變了長期悲觀的情緒。
明基醫院蘇城首個患者“空中120轉運”系統在蘇州院區宣告成立
5月26日，臺灣中興航空公司與蘇州院區簽署的“聯合開展航空醫學和緊急救援基地戰略合作協定”儀式上，蘇城首個為患者服務的“空中120轉運”系統宣告成立。今後，國內外病人因病情需要跨區域跨國轉運救援時，都可通過撥打蘇州院區“國際醫療中心”電話，獲得緊急航空醫療轉運服務。
中興航空自2003年建立飛航救援以來，已通過專機轉運病人達4000個，在中國大陸及港臺澳地區佔有86%的市場份額。“現在我們大概30個小時就有一位病人通過豪客400型醫療專機在國與國或地區與地區中飛行。
Nursing professionals arrive at Nanjing BenQ Medical Center for training
Nursing professionals enrolled in the Jiangsu Nursing Association training program for head nurses were at the Nanjing BenQ Medical Center from June 2 to 5. The trainees were all head nurses, and numbered 49 in all, divided into two sections. At the site, the learning atmosphere was notably enthusiastic. After the class was over, everyone continued to discuss views on nursing care quality control and how to continue improving quality. While the head nurses learned, they also provided BenQ Medical Center with useful feedback and suggestions, making the event rewarding for both parties.
Suzhou BenQ Medical Center’s health seminar arrives in local residential community
On June 5, the Orthopedics Department from Suzhou BenQ Medical Center held a health seminar in the Dalonggang residential community. Huo Lei, a physician from the Department, discussed osteoporosis as his main theme for the seminar. The seminar provided the community's senior citizens with an easy-to-understand primer on the symptoms of osteoporosis and how to prevent and treat the ailment. After the seminar, a bone density test was offered as well.

On June 2, Suzhou Medical Center's Traditional Chinese Medicine Department organized a lecture on traditional Chinese medicine at Darfon that nearly 80 employees attended.
A topical lecture focused on traditional Chinese medicine's approach to summertime health and spinal treatments. In addition, equipment was used to measure the bone density of older attendees, with analysis provided to them based on the test report.
Suzhou BenQ Medical Center hosts seminar on clinical immunoendocrinology
On May 30, Suzhou BenQ Medical Center's Endocrinology Department played host to well-known experts on endocrinology from the province and beyond. They had been invited to discuss common endocrine disorders from a range of perspectives including clinical and immunological, with the aim of raising the standard for diagnosis and treatment of related ailments. As we all know, immune system impairment and the immune response are pivotal in the development of endocrine disease, so study of these issues is extremely important for enhancing diagnosis and treatment quality.
Through this academic conference's exchange of views, topical reports, and discussion of clinical problems, participants were able to gain a great deal of insight that they can apply in their clinical or research work.
Suzhou BenQ Medical Center's Geriatrics Department offers free health screenings at local residential community
On May 22, the Geriatrics Department of Suzhou BenQ Medical Center provided a free health screening at the Dalonggang residential community. Geriatrics Department physician Liao Wen provided answers to community residents who came to ask questions, many of which had long troubled them. A health screening was provided to more than 30 residents, most of them elderly. High blood pressure and osteoporosis commonly afflict the elderly, and so the screening including testing for these two conditions. Through the blood pressure test, it was discovered that a majority of the older residents were at risk from high blood pressure, and Dr Liao reminded them to watch their diet and perform some light exercise regularly.
Suzhou BenQ Medical Center's Orthopedics Department gives health lecture at local residential community
On May 19, Suzhou BenQ Medical Center paid a visit to Mudunanting residential community, where physician Huo Lei gave a much welcomed health lecture on "Degenerative Arthritis and Osteoporosis" to the senior citizens there. The two ailments addressed in the talk commonly afflict seniors, causing them much aggravation. Based on the response of the more than 50 seniors who attended the lecture, most of them are affected by osteoporosis due to their age, and even with the help of medical care their conditions fluctuate between good and poor. The lecture was able to provide them a deeper understanding of both osteoporosis and arthritis. After the lecture proper was finished, the seniors in attendance sought out Dr Huo to inquire about their own personal conditions, and he reminded them that healthy dietary habits and a suitable amount of exercise are especially important for controlling these ailments, while occasionally calcium and vitamin supplements are needed as well.
Event for patients with spinal cord injuries successfully concludes
From May 14 to 18, with National Disabled Day approaching, the first rehabilitation training event in 2015 for enrollees in a "halfway house" program for spinal cord injury patients took place at Suzhou BenQ Medical Center. The program was established by the BenQ Foundation along with local organizations dedicated to helping those with disabilities.
During the rehabilitation training, "halfway house" members exhibited progress that BenQ Foundation volunteers were able to see. These volunteers are using faith, patience and love to transform these patients, winning their trust and helping them overcome their long-standing pessimism.
Suzhou BenQ Medical Center announces the establishment of city's first patient air transport system
On May 26, Taiwan's Sunrise Airlines and Suzhou BenQ Medical Center signed the "Joint Aviation Medicine and Medical Emergency Operations Cooperation Agreement" at a ceremony. The signing marked the establishment of Suzhou's first aviation-based patient transport system. Henceforth, patients both in China and outside it who require cross-region or international medical emergency assistance can simply make a phone call to Suzhou BenQ Medical Center's "International Medical Center" to request emergency medical air transport.
Since it began providing rescue flights in 2003, Sunrise Airlines has used dedicated aircraft to transport 4000 patients, and has achieved a market share of 86% in mainland China and the Hong Kong/Macao area. "Now we are transporting an average of about one patient from one country to another or one region to another every 30 hours on a Hawker 400 medical aircraft," relates a spokesperson.
