On 3 September, BenQ Taiwan launched new short-throw projectors, introducing the “cinema-class” W1070+/W1080ST+ with a side projection feature and the “entry-level high-luminance” TH681/TH681+/TH6H682ST. The launch event used the theme “beautiful viewing in small spaces” and communicated the message that in addition to their short-throw projection technology, the new products include features such as side projection, support for MHL smartphone projection, upgraded all-new 10W cinema-class built-in speakers, high luminance, and more. The new projectors offer flexible installation options for limited spaces allowing consumers to comprehensively upgrade their home entertainment experience with 100” big-screen viewing and stunning audio—without the need to remodel their homes. Together, these projectors represent an advance in the practicality of projector-based home entertainment systems and their ability to preserve the pleasing aesthetics of a home’s original interior.
